Don't come back to me, pretend it's all alright, it's all alright
You know it's not
But thanks for kind of trying
Half-assed
And I could tell myself that we could work this out, but we both know
That I'd just be lying
We spent these days wasting away, fucking and fighting
Why can't we get along?
Well I'm over it
I'm not taking my time repping my state
It's so hard to concentrate
Everything's fucked, and i'm so over it
Yeah, they want me to fall, want me to break
But I will surely seal my fate
Everything's fucked, and i'm so over it
Don't come back to me, pretend it's all alright, it's all alright
We fell so fast, you didn't even notice
The crossing of lines, in love but deprived
We'll soon pay the price of just smoking our lives away
So spark one more, cause now i'm feeling hopeless
The haze is just hypnosis, our lens has shifted focus
I'm not taking my time repping my state
It's so hard to concentrate
Everything's fucked, and i'm so over it
Yeah, they want me to fall, want me to break
But I will surely seal my fate
Everything's fucked, and i'm so over it
Rip my bones out of my body, better shape than my heart
These hazey days are tearing us apart
Rip my bones out of my body, better shape than my heart
These hazey days are tearing us apart
I'm not taking my time repping my state
It's so hard to concentrate
Everything's fucked, and i'm so over it
Yeah, they want me to fall, want me to break
But I will surely seal my fate
Everything's fucked, and i'm so over it
This rapidly rose to become one of my favourite albums, and has been on repeat since hearing it. A constant theme runs throughout which makes this an album, not just a collection of songs in a way I haven't heard before. Classic pop-punk sing-alongs, hardcore screaming, along with some synth (!) sections - Its such a mix, but it comes together so well. Picking a favourite song does the whole album a disservice - its a package deal.
Treat yourself to a listen. Timbo
